Something about the early morning sun
This image is nothing special, but it is one I enjoy. It’s from an early morning hike on along the road to Limantour Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore. I want to keep it simple this morning, just as this hike was simple. Enjoy.

Beautiful soft light – I can see why you like it!
Thank you
It actually is pretty special. There is something about it that reminds me of Bierstadt’s landscapes– eerie, quiet. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for stopping by, but even more for introducing me to Bierstadt. I’ve only looked at a few of his paintings since you commented, but from what I’ve seen, his landscapes are absolutely beautiful. If I could capture scenes the way he does, I would be happy indeed, but I think I need to sharpen my vision yet
Bierstadt is one of my favorite painters– and there is definitely something about the dark light in the branches and the eerie weight of the foliage that is reminiscent of him. You are onto something!
Well thank you, I’m glad you think so
I want to go hiking there. :) Thanks for sharing.
Posting this is making me want to go for a hike myself, but I will have to wait til this afternoon/evening, when I go mushroom hunting
I love the photo, makes me feel like I want to go for a walk (;
This image sure makes me want to see what is out there down the trail!! Wonderful!
Part of me wants to share what is out there on the trail, but there is another part that feels it best to leave your imagination ripe with curiosity, because there are some things that we need to find out for ourselves
I love this photo! I’ve just started trying to learn advanced photography. It seems I’ll never soak it all up but I sure want to try. I see images like this one, as well as the rest of your work and it just gives me more incentive to keep pushing on.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Part of capturing scenes like this is spending a lot of time out doors, which, thanks to your kayak fishing, you should be able to find yourself in many beautiful situations that will challenge you to pick up your camera and keep shooting
This is indeed a beautiful sight to open one’s day! Great shot!
It’s not quite as grand and dramatic as the Himalayas, but it is a very nice local park that I can visit easily
I love these kinds of shots—very inviting, soft light..and a trail that leads somewhere I want to go!

I am really enjoying your orphaned photos series. Such a different time back then, and such different feelings about having a picture taken
